William Eric Bergstedt

William E. "Bill" Bergstedt, 69, of Belle Vernon, formerly of Monessen, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 in Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital, with his loving family by his side. He was born on March 26, 1954 in North Charleroi, the son of the late David H. and Lena (DeRocco) Bergstedt. He was a member of  Epiphany of Our Lord Church, Pricedale Hungarian Club, Monessen Ukrainian Club, Monessen Elks #773 and was a 1972 Graduate of Monessen High School. He worked as a crane operator for Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel at the Allenport Plant and Allegheny Technologies Inc. where he retired after 40 years. He is Survived by his two daughters, Erica M. and Jason Ciepley of Monessen and Brianna Bergstedt of Belle Vernon; grandson, Nathaniel E. Ciepley and fiancée Lauren Planey of Pittsburgh; former wife of 39 years Aurelia Valdiserri of Monessen. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his Brothers, David Jr., Daniel and Barry Bergstedt. Friends will be received on  Wednesday February 14th, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue, Monessen. Services will be held on Thursday February 15th, beginning with a blessing service at 9:30 am in the funeral home, followed by a funeral mass at 10:00 am at the Epiphany of Our Lord Church.
