Virginia Masci Marcozzi, 83, of Monessen, died Wednesday January 11, 2017 in Salina Regional Medical Center, in Salina, KS. She was born in Monessen on April 28, 1933, the daughter of the late Antonio and Josephine (Como) Masci. Virginia was a lifelong resident of Monessen, a graduate of Monessen High School, and a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church. She retired from the Pittsburgh office of AT&T with 37 years of service, having worked as a telephone operator. She enjoyed visiting with her numerous friends she made during her daily bus commute to the Pittsburgh At&T office during the final years of career. Virginia was a devoted grandmother to her three grandchildren, and she enjoyed taking part as a fan while they sang, practiced piano, and played soccer. She kept herself challenged by even helping with homework! When her husband Lou was alive she enjoyed trips across the country to visit family. One of these trip took them to Italy. Virginia was an avid Steeler fan that routinely kept charge of the weekly football pool among the family. She enjoyed listening to the “Three Tenors”, watching her favorite ABC soap operas, and playing BINGO with members of the Monessen community. She is survived by a son, Louis A. and (Vickie) Marcozzi, a daughter Lynn Ann Marcozzi, three grandchildren, Louie Marcozzi, Sophia and Gianna Marcozzi, a sister, Loretta DiBiaso, a brother, Lawrence Masci, a brother-in-law, Ernest (Marion Rae) Marcozzi, four sisters-in-law, Millie (Gene) McMinn, Angie, Ada, and Mary Marcozzi, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Louis Marcozzi, two brothers, Edmund and Adam Masci, a sister-in-law, Rita Masci, a brother-in-law, Richard DiBiaso, and two nephews, Michael and Robert DiBiaso. Friends will be received in Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home, 441 Reed Avenue Monessen, on Sunday, Jan. 15, 2017, from 6 to 8 pm, and Monday, Jan. 16, 2017, from 2 to 4, and 6 to 8 pm. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday Jan. 17, 2017, beginning with a 9:30 a.m., blessing at the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 a.m. full Catholic Funeral Mass at the Epiphany of Our Lord Church with Rev.
