Veronica B. Catanzaro, 88, of Pittsburgh, formerly of Monessen, died Tuesday, April 17, 2012 in Cranberry Place, Cranberry Twp.She was born in Monessen on August 19, 1923, the daughter of the late George and Mary Tormasi Kolvek. She was a life long resident of Monessen and a member of Epiphany of Our Lord R. C. Church and its Epiphany Ladies. She was also a member of Saint Teresa of Avila in the North Hills, Pittsburgh.She is survived by four daughters, Monica Mayerchak and husband Charles of Fallowfield Twp., JoMarie Mayernik and husband Steve of Fayetteville, NC, Debra Catanzaro of Fallowfield Twp., Dr. Renee Catanzaro and husband Mario Sciulli of Pittsburgh, a sister, Regina Dzurik of Monessen, twelve grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and by numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John S. Catanzaro, an infant son John Francis, and by nine brothers and sisters.Friends will be received on Thursday from 1 to 3 pm and 6 to 8 pm in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue Monessen, (724-684-8750). Services will be held on Friday, April 20, 2012, beginning with a9:30 am Blessing in the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord R. C. Church.
