Sandra E. Smerilli, 78, formerly of Monessen, died Wednesday March 1, 2017 in Manor Care Health Services North Hills. She was born on December 24, 1938 in Monessen the daughter of the late Joseph and Clara (Como) Carosi. Sandra was a 1956 graduate of Monessen High School and a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church. She worked as a receptionist for 17 years at the office of the late Dr. Fred T. Campana. Sandra was an excellent cook and taught cooking classes at the Monessen Public Library for many years. Surviving are two sons, Nick (Emily) Smerilli and Ronald (Darla) Smerilli, three daughters, Linda (Stanley) Goad, Kathy (Wayne) Vlasic, Joyce (Mickey Salay) Smerilli, two sisters, Beverly Carosi and Mary Carosi, six grandchildren, Tim (Laura Lee) Goad, Justin Smerilli, Rachael Smerilli, Lindsay Vlasic, Gianna Smerilli, Julianna Smerilli; two great granddaughters, Kendal Morgan and Lia Filardi, and by nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Nick Smerilli. Friends will be received on Sunday March 5, 2017, from 2 to 4 pm and from 6 to 8 pm in Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue, Monessen. Services will be held on Monday March 6, 2017 beginning with a 9:30 am Blessing in the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord Church with Rev. Michael J.
