Rose Mowl, 83, of Monessen, went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 24, 2009 in U.P.M.C. Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh.She was born in Monessen on August 4, 1925, the daughter of the late George and Mary Ficco Zugaro. Rose was a life long resident of Monessen, a 1943 graduate of Monessen High School, and a member of the First Christian Church. She was formerly an active volunteer with the Monessen Meals on Wheels Program, and had worked as a clerk at the former Isaly's store in Monessen.She is survived by her son David Younkin and friend Ellen of Shelton , CT, a sister, Martha DeMarco of Monessen, two granddaughters, Allison Shortell and Carrie Tarazi of Shelton, CT, and by nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert J. Mowl, and by two sisters, Jean Suppa and Elizabeth Tomcanin.Friends will be received on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue Monessen, (724-684-8750).Services will be held on Monday July 27, 2009, at10:00 am in the First Christian Church, 115 Sixth Street Monessen, (Everyone is to meet at church) with Pastor Conrad Auel officiating.
