Roger M. Falbo, 91, of Monessen, died Saturday, November 12, 2011 in Hallsworth House.He was born in Monessen on January 30, 1920, the son of the late Rosario and Angelina (Naccarato) Falbo. Roger was a life long resident of Monessen, a 1940 graduate of Monessen High School and a veteran of WW II, having served in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater with a Quarter Master Company. He was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord R. C. Church and Epiphany Holy Name Society, Knights of Columbus Council 954, Monessen Lions Club, Italian Society of Mutual Aid, the Thomas McKee Post 28 of the American Legion. Mr. Falbo was a retired Westmoreland County Tax Assessor.Roger was a devoted brother, brother-in-law, and uncle, who enjoyed spending time with his loving family. He was an avid gardener and sports fan, always supporting his hometown Greyhounds. He is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Louis and Bruna Falbo of Monessen, two sisters-in-law; Jean Falbo of Valparaiso, IN, and Jane Falbo of Monessen, and by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Josephine and Edith Falbo, Lena (Caesar) Beneccio, and by ten brothers, Victor, Raymond, Joseph (Helen), Albert (Margaret), Ernest, Leonard (Lena), Charles (Inge), Francis, Victor, and George Falbo.Friends will be received on Monday from 7 to 9 pm and on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue Monessen, (724-684-8750).Services will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2011, beginning with a 9:30 am Blessing in the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord R. C. Church. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Monessen.The following services will be held in the funeral home: American Legion Post 28 and V.F.W.
