Robert P. Gilotty

Robert P. Gilotty, 96, of Monessen, passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2024 in Vida Springs Senior Living, Monongahela. He was born on February 4, 1928 in Monessen, the son of the late Charles G. Gilotty and Maria (Pascuzzi) Gilotty. He was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Church, a 1946 graduate of Monessen High School, Graduated from the University of Pittsburgh. He served his country during the Korean War in the United States Army and afterwards joined the American Legion Post 28 and VFW Post 1190. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus 954, Italian Society of Mutual Aid and the Raven Athletic Association. He retired from Giant Eagle, Inc. in 1998 and pursued his interests by volunteering for local nonprofit organizations. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Inez (Sambuchini) Gilotty, son, Robert E. Gilotty; daughter, Lisa Gilotty and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jennings, Richard and Norman Gilotty and sisters, Wilhemena Mancinelli, Evelyn Gilotty and Adeline Smith, he was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Private funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue, Monessen. Interment was in the Grandview Cemetery, Monessen.
