Raymond G. Altemara, 75, formerly of Monessen, died Thursday, October 27, 2011 in Monongahela Valley Hospital.He was born in N. Charleroi on September 3, 1936, the son of the late Juno and Catherine (Veneri) Altemara. Ray resided in Monessen most all his life and had retired from the City of Monessen Street Department.He is survived by his nephews, Joseph Hamay of Irwin, Christopher Hamay of Belle Vernon, Frank and Tiffany Hamay of Irwin, one great niece and three great nephews.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Linda Hamay, and by two brothers Norman and Theodore Altemara.Funeral services are private with interment in Grandview Cemetery, Monessen.Arrangements entrusted to Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Ave. Monessen.
