Ralph Buffa, 81, of Rostraver Twp., formerly of Monessen, died Thursday, January 3, 2008 in Monongahela Valley Hospital Inc.He was born in Monessen on December 5, 1926, the son of the late Michael and Louise Minardi Buffa.Mr. Buffa owned and operated Dunn Rite Siding and Soffit Company until his retirement. He was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord R. C. Church, Monessen Elks Lodge 773, and Mon Valley Home Builders Association. Mr. Buffa served his country during WW II with the U.S. Navy, having served in the Philippines.He is survived by his wife, Donna Fine Buffa, five sons and four daughters-in-law, Ralph M. and Linda Buffa of Monessen, James W. Hallam of Rostraver Twp., Jeffrey and Patty Hallam of Monessen, Jay and Kelly Hallam of Georgia, Sean and Lisa Buffa of Myrtle Beach, SC, three daughters and two sons-in-law, Diana and Andy Dzatko of Monessen, Wendy Gatalica of Fayette City, Jennifer and Edward Blaszczak of Uniontown, thirteen grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Bobbie Lee Buffa, and by a sister, Eda Rose "Edith" Henderson.Friends will be received on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm, and on Saturday from 9:30 am to 11:30 am in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue Monessen, (724-684-8750).Services will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2008, beginning with a 11:30 am Blessing in the funeral home, followed by a 12 noon Funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord R. C. Church. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Monessen. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial contributions be made to the Mon Valley Relay for Life, through the funeral hom.
