Pearl K. Panich, 94, formerly of Monessen, died in the Vincentian Home, Pittsburgh on Tuesday May 2, 2017.
She was born in Monessen, on April 27, 1923, the daughter of the late Joseph A. and Mary Jo (Yannitto) Setaro.
Mrs. Panich was a 1941 graduate of Monessen High School and had worked as a sales clerk at the former Alberts Grocery Store in Monessen. She was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church, the Epiphany Ladies, C.D. of A. Court 776, and the former St. Cajetan Christian Mothers.
She is survived by her three daughters, Sister Camille Panich, S.C.N. of Pittsburgh, Nancy (Wayne) Stewart of Amherst, OH, Georgia (Ted) Whitby of Wexford, four grandchildren, Sean (Rachel) Stewart, Scott (Katie) Stewart, Allison Whitby, Sara Whitby, a great grandson Nathan Stewart, and by nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband George L. Panich, five brothers, Paul, John, Anthony, Raymond, and Rudy Setaro, and by a sister Elizabeth Johnson.
Friends will be received in Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue Monessen, on Friday, May 5, 2017 from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm. Services will be held on Saturday May 6, 2017, beginning with a 11:30 am Blessing in the funeral home, followed by a 12:00 pm Funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord Church. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Monessen.
The C.D. of A. Court 776 and the Epiphany Ladies will conduct a prayer service on Friday at 3:00 pm in the funeral home.
