Paul "Zedo" Petrusky, 92, of Monessen, died Sunday, January 18, 2015 in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital. He was born in Monessen on July 6, 1922, the son of the late John and Bertha Cuhran Petrusky. Paul was a lifelong resident of Monessen, a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church, Monessen Elks 773, Polish National Alliance, and a former member of Monessen Firemen's Club # 2. He was retired from the Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp., having worked in the Open Hearth Department. Paul served his country during WWII with the U.S. Navy. He is survived by wife, Josephine Morello Petrusky, three daughters, Paulette Bergstedt of Costa Mesa, CA, Pati (John) Sivek of Charleroi, Pamela Petrusky of Palm Harbor, FL, a son Paul (Carol) Petrusky of Latrobe, two grandchildren, Jodi Kirtley of Costa Mesa, CA, Dean (Beth) Bergstedt of Irvine, CA, four great grandchildren, Tyler Kirtley, Gabrielle, Taylor, and Olivia Bergstedt, and by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, John Petruska and Emil Petrusky, and by his sister Margaret Petrusky Mandzok. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Ave. Monessen. Services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 am in the funeral home with Rev. Michael J. Crookston officiating. Interment will follow in Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora.
