Patricia L. DiGioia, 82, of Monessen, died on Saturday Sept. 24, 2016 in Monongahela Valley Hospital Inc. She was born on November 8, 1933 in Belle Vernon, the daughter of the late Harold B. and Edna (Githens) Lambert. Pat was a 1951 graduate of Charleroi High School and moved to Monessen in 1956 when she married her late husband, Anthony V. DiGioia. She was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord R.C. Church and had retired as a legislative aide from the Senate of Pennsylvania. Pat was a huge Pittsburgh sports fan and an avid card player having belonged to numerous card clubs over the years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who was dedicated to her family and friends, always there for whoever needed her. Surviving are her daughter, Debra and husband John Bachinski of Monessen, son Kenneth and wife Susan DiGioia of Ameila Island, FL; six grandchildren, Stacey (Nehemias) Castano, Allyssa (Tom Evans) Grove, Kelsey Bachinski; Alexander, Adam, and Evan DiGioia; great grandson, Anthony Joel Castano; three brothers, Charles (Emma) Lambert of Lancaster, PA, Harold (Betty) Lambert of New Freedom, PA, James (Verona) Lambert of Lititz, PA; two sisters-in-laws, Jose Marie Iacovangelo of Carroll Twp., Josephine DiGioia of Port Orange, FL; a close friend, Robert Grove of Belle Vernon; and by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a son Anthony Santo DiGioia, and a sister Sara Elma Winship. Friends will be received on Tuesday Sept. 27, 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue, Monessen. Services will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 am with Rev. Michael J. Crookston officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery, Belle Vernon.
