Norman Anthony DiMatteo

March 31, 1937 — February 5, 2017

Norman DiMatteo, 79, of Monongahela died Sunday February 5, 2017. He was born in Monessen, son of Anthony and Genevieve DiMatteo.

After Norman graduated from Monessen High School he served in the United States Marine Corp. He worked as a machinist at Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel, Monessen.

He is survived by his wife Nancy Gottselig DiMatteo; his family, Steve (Amy) DiMatteo, Anthony DiMatteo, David Menendez, Patty (Gary) Campesi, Nancy Abbott; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will also be sadly missed by his brother, Donald (Becky) DiMatteo; his aunts, Elizabeth Pennline, Muffy (Gus) August and Adina Mancini; sister-in-law Catherine Gottselig Donahue; brother-in-law William (Arlene) Gottselig; and their families.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his family member, Julie LaPresti; and brother-in-law, Raymond Donahue.

Friends will be received on Thursday, February 9th from 6 to 8 pm in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue, Monessen (724-684-8750)

Interment will be held in Grandview Cemetery, Monessen on Friday, February 10th.
