Mona Ruth Imbrescia, 81, of Monessen, was called to serve in the Kingdom of the Heavenly Father on Friday, November 6, 2009. She was born in Monessen on November 18, 1927, the daughter of the late Cloyd and Violet Mae (Tressler) Phillippi Sr. Mona Ruth was a life long resident of Monessen, a 1945 graduate of Monessen High School, and had worked at the former Page Steel and Wire Company in Monessen until the start of her family. She was a devoted member of the former First Baptist Church in Monessen, and after its closing became a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Monessen. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Andrew C. Imbrescia, two sons, Jeffrey D. Imbrescia of Monessen, Kevin Imbrescia and Michelle Merella of Rostraver Twp., a daughter-in-law, Janet Imbrescia of Monessen, two brothers Ronald (Ella) Phillippi of Monessen, and Marvin Phillippi of Friendship, Wisconsin, four grandchildren, Janelle, Julian, Kory, and Kyle Imbrescia, two step grandchildren, Ashley and Nathan Merella, and by several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Duane, Harold, and Cloyd Jr. Phillippi, and by a sister Gloria Jean (Phillippi) Evans.Friends will be received on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue Monessen, (724-684-8750). Services will be held on Tuesday Nov. 10, 2009, at 10:00 am in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 1317 Grand Blvd. Monessen. EVERYONE IS TO MEET AT CHURCH.
