Mike Warholic, 92, of Monessen, died Monday, July 2, 2007 in Monongahela Valley Hospital Inc.He was born in Donora on September 18, 1914, and was a resident of Monessen most all his adult life. He was a member of St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church and retired from the Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation. He was a veteran of WW II, having served with the U.S. Army in Hawaii.Mr. Warholic was preceeded in death by his wife Helen Bazaga Warholic in 1995. He is survived his son Mike Warholic of Monessen with whom he made his home, and by his daughter and son-in-law, Lauren and Alan Lease of Centre Hall, PAPrivate funeral services were held Tuesday July 3, 2007, with interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, Rostraver Twp. The family suggest memorial contributions be made to Animal Friends, 562 Camp Horne Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15237.
