Michael J. Demo, 66, of Monongahela, died Saturday in V. A. Heinz Center, Pittsburgh. He was born on February 6, 1955 in N. Charleroi, the son of the late Michael and Rita (Henry) Demo. Mike grew up in Monessen and attended Monessen High School prior to joining the U.S. Army. He served his country in Kuwait, Just Cause invasion of Panama, and Desert Storm. He retired as a Staff Sergeant. He was a member of V.F.W. Post 1190 in Monessen and was a former member of the American Legion, Post 212 in Donora. He is survived by two sisters, Elizabeth M. Malone of Rostraver Twp., W. Lee Vileck of Cleveland, OH; fiance, Margaret "Peggy" Suckell of Monongahela; two half sisters, Mary Lou Demo of Canonsburg, Edna Demo of Charleroi; half brother, Michael Thomas Demo of Charleroi; and by nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Harold and Irma Henry; paternal grandparents Michael and Elizabeth Demo, three brothers, Kenneth, Robert, and Donald Demo, and by a sister Nickolena Martin. Friends will be received in Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue, Monessen, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm.
