Mary Lou (Oravec) Canestrale

Mary Lou (Oravec) Canestrale, 57, of Monessen, died unexpectedly on Monday April 20, 2020 at her residence. She was born on March 25, 1963 in Port Jervis, NY, the daughter of Victor and Lena (Rodgers) Oravec, who survive of Charleroi. Mary Lou grew up in Monessen and attended Monessen schools. She was a member of St. Sebastian R. C. Church, enjoyed working with crafts, and adored her Shih Tzu, Penelope. She is survived by her two daughters, Alyssa Canestrale and husband Timothy Reihner, Mia Marie Canestrale; two sisters, Michele Oravec Zubritsky and Victoria Lynn DeZardo; brother, Victor "Tubby" (Karen) Oravec; two sisters-in-laws, Doreen (Alan) Dilegge and Darlene (Fred Culler) Pabis; and by nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Mary Lou was preceded in death by her husband Matthew "Mattie" Canestrale Jr. and by her father and mother-in-law, Matthew and Lorraine (Caterino) Canestrale. Due to the pandemic, private funeral services will be held in Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue, Monessen, with Rev. Michael J. Crookston officiating.
