Mary Lou "Betty" Anderskovich, 84, of Carroll Twp. went to rest in the Lord's arms on Thursday, February 23, 2012 in Mon Valley Care Center, where she had been a resident for the past 8 years following a massive hemorrhagic stroke.She was born in Centerville on December 4, 1927, the daughter of the late James Wayne Roach and Bessie Agnes (Bosley) Roach. She lived an amazing life and accomplished many wonderful things. She was a Den mother, gymnast, dancer, Legislative Assistant, served as president of the Charleroi Democratic Women's Committee, farmer, loved to fish and as a teenager sang in a group called "The Rambling Roses". Betty also enjoyed motorcycling with her first husband, the late Bill Holzapfel. Mrs. Anderskovich had worked as a clerk at Belle Vision in Belle Vernon and later at the Social Security office in Charleroi.She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda Lee (Holzapfel) and Wayne Valdiserri of Sun City West, AZ, Jacquline E. (Anderskovich) and Leonard Krieger of North Huntingdon, a son, William B. Holzapfel Jr. of North Charleroi, a brother, James Roach of Van Nuys, CA, three grandchildren, Jakub Wayne Anderskovich, Billie Lee (Zelenick) and Don Moss, Daisy Holzapfel and fiancé Jim Bleyer, two great grandchildren and by nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John "Jake" Anderskovich, and a brother Charles Roach.The family invites everyone to join in the celebration of her life at Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue Monessen, (724-684-8750) on Sunday from 12 pm to 2:00 pm, time of the service with Pastor Conrad Auel officiating.
