Mary A. Galilei, 88, of Monessen, passed away on Monday March 20, 2017 in her home. She was born on March 16, 1929 in Monessen, the daughter of the late John and Mary (Bartus) Sendek. Mary was a lifelong resident of Monessen, a 1947 graduate of Monessen High School, and a member of the Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church. Mary was a seamstress who enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, and did volunteer work for many. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Domenic Galilei, her three children; Ronald (Valerie) Galilei, Vicki (Jim) Danoy, and Tina (Ken) Treater, six grandchildren Lea (Cody) Duffin, Scott Galilei, Kelly Danoy, Katie (Sam) Cook, Nikki Treater, Rosalyn Burger, Raquel (Bob) Gee; great granddaughter, Stella Duffin; and by nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by eight brothers. Friends will be received on Thursday March 23, 2017 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm in Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue, Monessen. Services will be held on Friday beginning with a 9:30 am Blessing in the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord Church with Rev. Michael J. Crookston officiating.
