Mary "Martha" DiBattista, 87, of Rostraver Twp., formerly of Monessen, died Tuesday, September 24, 2013 in Monongahela Valley Hospital Inc.
She was born in Monessen on March 30, 1926, the daughter of the late Michael and Millie Gillotti Russo. Mrs. DiBattista was a resident of Monessen most of her life and a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church. She had been a member of the former St. Cajetan Church and its Rosary Altar Society.
She is survived by two sons, Paul M. DiBattista of Rostraver Twp., Michael A. (Kathleen) DiBattista of Iowa Falls, ID, three daughters, Santina (Ted) Pado of Fayette City, Rose Ellen Tegnelia of Port Orange, FL, Monica DiGioia of Port Orange, FL, nine grandchildren, Christopher (Franie) DiBattista, Brian (Gina) DiBattista, Paul (Brittney) DiBattista, Michael E. DiBattista, Keith (Tina) Pado, Kelly (Jared) Walsh, Natalie DiGioia, Dominic DiGioia, Angela Tegnelia, eleven great grandchildren, Madison, Anthony, Carlo, Frankie, Dominic, Ava, Izzie, Tyler, Ella, Carter, and Milo, and by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Paul DiBattista, four brothers and two sisters.
Friends will be received in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Ave. Monessen, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. Services will be held on Friday, Sept. 27, 2013, beginning with a 9:30 am Blessing in the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord Church with Rev. Michael J. Crookston officiating. Entombment will follow in Mon. Valley Memorial Park Mausoleum, Donora.
