Mary Louise Assenat

Mary Louise Assenat, 63, of Monessen, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday Feb. 23, 2022 in the ER of Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital. She was born on June 26, 1958 in N. Charleroi, the daughter of the late Charles E. and Mary (Reno) Assenat. Mary Louise was a 1976 graduate of Monessen High School and received her bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts from Duquesne University. She lived in Edison, NJ for many years working as a manager for AT&T at their corporate headquarters. Mary Louise returned to live in Monessen in 2016 following an illness and was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Church. Left to cherish her memory are her two brothers, Charles A. Assenat and Stephen G. (Jennifer) Assenat, both of Monessen; a niece, Louisa Assenat; step niece, Alena (Caleb) Cox; step nephew, E. J. Blaszaczak; and by several aunts, uncles, and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant sister, Carmella J. Assenat. Friends will be received on Sunday from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm in Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue, Monessen. Services will be held on Monday beginning with a 9:30 am Blessing in the funeral home followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord Church with Rev. Michael J. Crookston officiating.
