Marie Concetta (Arrigo) Capuano, 100, of West View, formerly of Monessen, was called to Heaven on Thursday August 9, 2018 at her daughter’s home. Born on December 7, 1917 in Belle Vernon, she was the daughter of the late August Arrigo and Bessie (Junda) Arrigo. Marie’s recipe for a good life was “faith, love, and family” and she followed it for her entire life, teaching each of her children the same recipe to carry on in their families. Marie and her family created wonderful memories and traditions on Washington Drive in Monessen for 55 years. In 2005, she moved to West View to be with her daughter. A piece of her heart always remained in the Mon Valley.. She was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Church and the Epiphany Ladies, and was also a member of the Italian Sons and Daughters, the Rosary Altar Society, and the Ladies Mutual Aid Society. Known for her cooking and baking, Marie won awards for her recipes, which were printed frequently in the Mon Valley Independent over the years. She is survived by her beloved family including her son, Theodore A. (Donna) Capuano Jr. of Ft. Myers, FL; daughter, Cindy (Kevin) Conner of West View; eight grandchildren, Mia Sabatini, Jodi Johnson, Dominic (April) Sabatini, Robert (Marla) Kouche, Edward (Beth) Kouche, Vincent Capuano, Christopher (Jenn) Capuano, Colin (Annie) Conner; eleven great grandchildren, Alexandria, Samantha, and Joel Johnson, Malina and Vitabella Sabatini, Ryan and Allyson Kouche, Madison and Nate Kouche, Daniella Capuano, and Emilia Capuano; two great great grandchildren, Adriana and River; and by numerous nieces and nephews. One of Marie’s final wishes was to live to see her 12th great grandchild, Baby Conner, due in September. Her devoted furry companion, Bellini, will miss her loving attention and treats. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Theodore A. Capuano Sr., two daughters Judith Sabatini and Lynette Kouche, six brothers, Thomas, Joseph, Frank, and James Arrigo, and August and Thomas Lachina; and by three sisters, Bessie Sbrocco, Rose Karlosky, and Margaret Brazack. Friends will be received on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm in Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue, Monessen. Services will be held on Tuesday August 14, 2018, beginning with a 9:30 am Blessing in the funeral home followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord Church, 44 Pennsylvania Blvd. Monessen, with Rev.
