Marian Adamcheck, 85, of Monessen, died Tuesday, June 16, 2015 in Monongahela Valley Hospital Inc. She was born in Monessen on March 2, 1930, the daughter of the late Charles and Anna Kolvek Roscoe. Marian was a lifelong resident of Monessen, a 1948 graduate of Monessen High School, and became an LPN after attending Mercy School of Nursing. She worked for Mercy Hospital and Monongahela Valley Hospital. Marian was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church. After retiring, she looked forward to going to lunch with her fellow retired nurses, and enjoying their company. She is survived by a son, James (Susan) Adamcheck of Star Junction, five grandchildren, Nicole Lynn (Rob) Popelas, Shannon Renee Adamcheck, Denise Nicole Adamcheck, James A. R. Adamcheck, Jessica Marie Adamcheck, two great grandsons, Cameron Lloyd and Nicholas John Coldren, her sister, Charlotte (Joseph) Persico, a brother-in-law, William C. "Chase" Evancho, an aunt, Regina Dzurik, and by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Richard Charles Adamcheck Sr., two sons and a daughter-in-law, Richard Charles Adamcheck Jr., Dennis C. and Mary Jane Adamcheck, a brother Charles Roscoe, and by two sisters, Dorothy Evancho and Elizabeth "Babs" Dalfonso. Friends will be received on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Ave. Monessen. Services will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2015, beginning with a 9:00 am Blessing in the funeral home, followed by a 9:30 am Funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord Church.
