Maria S. (Sacco) Dolessandro

Maria S. Dolessandro, 87, of Monessen, died Thursday Nov. 12, 2020 in Monongahela Valley Hospital Inc. She was born on January 2, 1933 in Calabria, Italy, the daughter of the late Fiore and Angela (Maione) Sacco. She has been a resident of Monessen all her adult life and a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Church. Maria was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed cooking and gardening. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Lou (John) Loulis of N. Charleroi, her son, Frank Dolessandro Jr. of Monessen; brother, Joseph (Clara) Sacco of Fontana, CA; two sisters, Julia Cain and Lena Mascetta, both of Monessen; and by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Frank Dolessandro and a brother John Sacco. Friends will be received on Sunday from 1 to 3 pm and 5 to 7 pm at Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue, Monessen. Services will be held on Monday at 10:00 am in the funeral home with Fr. Michael J. Crookston officiating. Interment will follow in the Grandview Cemetery, Monessen.
