Madeline D. Doban, 82, of Monessen, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 19, 2011 with her family at her side.She was born in Brownsville on December 4, 1928, the daughter of the late Andrew and Julia (Hopak) Vancheck.She was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord R. C. Church and Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court 776. Mrs. Doban was a teacher and supervisor at the Pittsburgh Beauty Academy in Charleroi for many years, and later was the owner of Fran Dale's Salon in Monessen until becoming ill. Madeline was an avid Steeler's fan, and enjoyed spending time at the casino's. She was a loving mother and grandmother having cherished the time she spent with family. She enjoyed the holidays and working and socializing at her business.She is survived by daughter, Francine Doban of Monessen, a son and daughter-in-law, Dale D. and Tammy Doban of Mechanicsburg, a sister, Jean Restina of Melbourne, FL, a grandson, Chad D. Doban, and by numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Francis A. Doban in 1999 and by several brothers and sisters.Friends will be received on Tuesday Feb. 22, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue Monessen, (724-684-8750).Services will be held on Wednesday, February 23, 2011, beginning with a 9:30 am Blessing, followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord R. C. Church. Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill. The Catholic Daughters of America Court 776 and the Catholic Business and Professional Women, will conduct a prayer service on Tuesday at 3:30 pm in the funeral home.Condolences accepted for the family at www.dalfonso-billick.com.
