Lucy (Perozzi) Capacasa, 90, of Mount Laurel, NJ, formerly of Monessen, died Monday, August 7, 2017 at Samaritan Health Care and Hospice, NJ.
She was born on February 5, 1927 in Monessen, daughter of the late Luigi and Annita (Mignini) Perozzi.
Lucy was a former hostess at Howard Johnson's Restaurant and bartended at Boni's. She was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord R.C. Church, Monessen, where she was active in the Altar Rosary Society.
She was the beloved wife of the late Marino Capacasa and is survived by her daughter Anita (Robert) Churan of Scottsdale, AZ and son, Jon (Helen) Capacasa of Mount Laurel, NJ; grandchildren, Brett (Leslie) Churan, Tanya Churan, Marina (Nick) Tranchina, Briana (Mark) Bencivengo, great-grandchidren Hannah and Kaela Churan and Lia, Taylor and Thomas Tranchina; brother, John Perozzi of Monessen; nephews, James (Kathi) Perozzi of Belle Vernon and Daniel (Loretta) Perozzi of Severn MD, and niece Cheryl (David) Gilotty of Charleroi.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Delio (Helene) "Day Day" Perozzi.
Friends will be received on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m.in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home, 441 Reed Avenue, Monessen and 8:30 to 9:30 am Saturday followed by a Blessing Service at 9:30 a.m. and a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Epiphany of Our Lord R.C. Church, 44 Pennsylvania Blvd., Monessen with Rev. Michael Crookston as celebrant.
Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Monessen.
