Lorraine (Wanzilak) Boord

Lorraine (Wanzilak) Boord, 86, of Monessen, passed away on Monday, March 13, 2023 in Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital. She was born on September 7, 1936 in North Charleroi, the daughter of the late John and Pauline (Duche) Wanzilak. She was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Church. She was a Cafeteria Worker for many years at Monessen High School. Surviving are her three sons, Ken (Peg) Boord of Jacksonville, FL, Scott J. (Adella) Boord of Carroll Twp., Mark Boord of TN; three grandchildren, Christopher (Wendy) Boord of Jacksonville FL, Jennifer Poroda of Fallowfield Twp., John Boord of Pittsburgh; 3 great-grandchildren, A.J. & Jaclynn Poroda and Gus Boord. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Walter S. Boord, and a son, Shawn D. Boord. Friends will be received on Wednesday, March 15th, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue, Monessen. Services will be held on Thursday, March 16th, in the funeral home beginning at 10:00 am, with Rev. Michael J. Crookston officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Hyacinth's Cemetery.
