Lilas Amelia Turcaso, 91, of Monessen, died Saturday, April 11, 2015 in Westmoreland Manor.
She was born in Washington Twp., on October 26, 1923, the daughter of the late Dan and Helen Haggerty Rohland. Mrs. Turcaso grew up in Washington Twp. and spent most of her adult life in Monessen. Years ago, she work at Corning Glass in Charleroi.
She is survived by a son, George (Patricia) Latta of Delaware City, DE, son-in-law, John E. Kerestesi of Monessen, four grandchildren, John C. (Kristin) Kerestesi, Joshua C. (Nicole) Kerestesi, Angel and Ellen Latta, and by several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Raymond Latta, her daughter Ruthann Kerestesi, and by numerous brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Tuesday from 9:00 am to 11:00 am in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Ave. Monessen. Services will be held at 11:00 am in the funeral home with Rev. Jack Hernstrom officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
