Leonard M. "Links" Dominick Sr., 95, of Monessen, a long time Mon Valley produce businessman, died Thursday, January 24, 2013 in Monongahela Valley Hospital Inc.He was born in Monessen on March 17, 1917, the son of the late Michael and Rafaela Alessio Dominick. Links was a resident of Monessen most of his life and had owned and operated Dominick's Fruit Markets in Monessen and later Monongahela for over 50 years. He was a life member of the Sons of Italy, and he and his late wife Ann served as steward at the former Sons of Italy Club in Monessen. He was a veteran of WWII, having served as a Sargent with the U.S. Army from 1942 - 1945 in the Philippines, as a tank driver with Co A 763rd Tank Battalion. Links loved his family, a good game of cards, and his beloved Pittsburgh Pirates. He will be sadly missed and never forgotten.He is survived by three sons and a daughters-in-law, Ted and Diana Dominick of California, PA, Richard Dominick of Monessen, Leonard M. Dominick Jr. and fiancé Colette of Monessen, four grandchildren, Kelli (Mike) Allen, Dale (Staci) Dominick, Jennifer (Scott) Smith, Timothy Dominick, four great grandchildren, Nathaniel and Bennett Allen, Brianna and Julia Smith, and by numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Ann Stetz Dominick, three brothers, Albert, Joseph, and Richard Dominick, the four sisters, Florence Mancuso, Katherine Johns, Louise Maisano and Rose Fuoco.Friends will be received in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Ave. Monessen, on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. Services will be held on Monday Jan. 28, 2013, beginning with a 11:30 am Blessing in the funeral home, followed by a 12 noon Funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord Church.
