Julia Sabolchick, 83, of Monessen, died Monday, November 24, 2008 in Monongahela Valley Hospital Inc.She was born in Italy on March 3, 1925, the daughter of the late Pasquale and Anna Peligrini Maione. Mrs. Sabolchick was a resident of Monessen most all her life, and a member of Epiphany of Our Lord R. C. Church. Julia enjoyed spending time with friends at the Monessen Senior Center.She is survived by her daughter, Anna Smith of Monessen, three sisters, Angela Sacco of Monessen, Sister, Victoria Ganino of the state of California, Catherine Vaccaro and husband Peter of Monessen, a sister-in-law, Emma Maione of the state of California, five grandchildren, Joey Sabolchick and wife Linda of Monessen, Chris Sabolchick and wife Paula of Greensburg, Tracy Kelsesky and husband Robert of Pittsburgh, Amy Smith of Monessen, Tony Smith and wife Julie of Monessen, three great grandchildren, Sara, Kari, and David Sabolchick, and by numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Andrew Sabolchick, her son Joseph Sabolchick, three brothers, Ortenzio, Joseph, and Chris Maione, and four sisters, Lisa Marozza, Maria Viglotti, Vincenza Barbera, and Jennie Coletti.Friends will be received on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue Monessen, (724-684-8750).Services will be held on Saturday Nov. 29, 2008, beginning with a 9:30 am Blessing in the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord R.
