Julia (Turick) DeCurtis, 99, of Monessen, died Friday Nov. 26, 2021 in The Residence at Hilltop. She was born on July 13, 1922 in Naomi, the daughter of the late John and Mary (Mihealsick) Turick. Mrs. DeCurtis was Orthodox by faith and a 1940 graduate of Belle Vernon High School. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Michael M. DeCurtis Jr., six brothers, George, Charles, Michael, Andrew, John, and Metro Turick, three sisters, Mary Turick, Helen Sibley, Anna Rosnick, and her son-in-law John L. Swann. Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Michele Swann of Monessen, Jacqueline DeCurtis-Holder (Hugh) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; a son, Michael M. (Terri) DeCurtis III of Nottingham Twp.; two grandsons, John (Tracey) Swann Jr. of Monessen, David (Ali) Swann of Panama City Beach, FL; a great grandson, Tyler Swann, and by nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue, Monessen, on Monday from 5 pm to 7 pm. Services will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 am in the funeral home with Fr. Constantine Curchin officiating. Entombment will follow in the Grandview Cemetery, Monessen.
