Josephine Pallini, 91, of Monessen, died unexpectedly on Sunday October 26, 2008 in the emergency room of Monongahela Valley Hospital Inc..She was born in Brooklyn, NY on November 11, 1916, the daughter of the late Sylvester and Maria Pascotti Palmintera. Mrs. Pallini was a resident of Monessen most all her life, and a member of Epiphany of Our Lord R. C. Church. She was also a member of the Eagles Aerie 2399 Ladies Auxiliary and French Club Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by her husband of 74 years, John R. "Lefty"Pallini Sr., a son and daughter-in-law, John R. Jr. and Patricia Pallini of Monessen, two daughters and sons-in-law, Marie and Joseph Dinio of Monessen and Joyce and Bob Zeli of Charleroi, a brother, John Palmintera of Pittsburgh, six grandchildren, Jona Hezar and husband Ron of North Carolina, Jeff Pallini and wife Tina of Wisconsin, Jill Shash and husband Joseph of Monessen, Ron Aiello and wife Michele of Washington, PA, Rob Zeli of Canonsburg, Ryan Zeli of Pittsburgh, eleven great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Ross and Pete Palmintera, and by three sisters, Sara Pallini, Angela Zyski, and Nedda Nelson.Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue Monessen, (724-684-8750).Services will be held on Thursday Oct. 30, 2008, beginning with a 9:30 am Blessing in the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord R. C. Church. Entombment will follow in Grandview Cemetery Mausoleum, Monessen.The Knights of Columbus Council 954 will conduct a prayer service on Wednesday at 8:00 pm in the funeral home.
