Joseph T. Selinger Jr., 70, of Monessen, died Monday, April 11, 2011 at his residence. He was born in Collinsburg, on July 15, 1940, the son of the late Joseph T. Selinger Sr. and Florence Herb Selinger. Joe was a life long resident of the Mon Valley area and had worked as a truck driver.He is survived by his seven children, Joseph T. (Richelle) Selinger of York, SC, Matthew (Mary Toth) Selinger of Ruffsdale, Scott Selinger of Monessen, Kevin Selinger of McDonald, Brad (Christina) Selinger of Ruffsdale, Jennifer (Rob) Van Horne of Front Royal, VA, Sarah Selinger of Ruffsdale, five brothers, Sam, Bill, David, and Jim Selinger, and Howard Higgins, a sister, Denise Wallace, four grandchildren, Dalton, Sean, Savanna, and Mya, and by his dear friend, Rose Janisky and her family.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Dawn Marie Selinger.Friends will be received in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue Monessen, on Wednesday from 10:00 am to 12 noon, time of the service.
