John Dziak

John Dziak, 91, of Monessen, died Wednesday, September 3, 2014 in Center for Compassionate Care, Mt. Lebanon. He was born in Czechoslovakia on June 24, 1923, the son of the late Andrew and Anastazia Gburova Dziak. John was a resident of Monessen all of his adult life and had worked at the former Page Wire Mill, and later at the Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, retiring from the blooming mill. He was a veteran of WWII, having served with the 123rd Army Air Force Base Unit in Central Europe. John loved to dance, spend time in his garden, and go fishing. He is survived by two sons, Mark and Debbie Dziak of Perryopolis, Dr. Daniel A. Dziak and Karen Pesich of Mt. Lebanon, a daughter, Denise McCullough of Donora, ten grandchildren, Jessica, Allison, and Jared Dziak, Christopher, Erin, and Jacob McCullough, Chad (Karen), Michael, and Jason Dziak, and Tori Wuychek, two sisters, Dolores Jean Dziak and Mary Lou Antonio, both of Monessen, and by nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Pauline Brassart Dziak, a son Richard Dziak, and by a sister Madeline Martin. At John's request, a private family visitation and service were held on Friday Sept. 5, 2014, with interment following in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
