Joan K. (Wysochanski) Zubritsky, 89, of Monessen, died Friday January 17, 2020 in Monongahela Valley Hospital.
She was born on March 22, 1930 in Monessen, the daughter of the late John and Katherine (Ilnicki) Wysochanski. Joan was a 1948 graduate of Monessen High School and a member of St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church. Over the years Joan had work as an assistant office manager at Hills Department Store, was co-owner of Jake's Pizza, worked for Corning Glass, and at Volkswagen Assembly Plant.
She was a volunteer for St. Vincent de Paul Store and enjoyed bowling with the St. Cajetan Womens Bowling League.
She is survived by a son, Charles W. (Lisa) Zubritsky III of Rostraver Twp.; three daughters, Kathi (James) Perozzi of Rostraver Twp., Joyce (Bob) Witowski of Austin, TX, Myra (Steve Davis) Hindes of Chester, WV; six grandchildren including a granddaughter whom she raised, Lauren Zubritsky and fiancée Zac Brittner of Monessen; James (Kim) Perozzi Jr., Garrett Witowski, Maxwell Hindes, Kristen (Kenny) Stockman, Alexa Witowski; four great grandchildren, Dominic and Tyler Perozzi, Gracie Perozzi, and Leah Stockman, and by numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles W. Zubritsky Jr., two sons, David and Robert Zubritsky, and by five sisters and six brothers.
Friends will be received on Monday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and on Tuesday from 9:00 am to 9:30 am in Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue, Monessen. Services will be held on Tuesday beginning with a Panachida at 9:30 am in the funeral home, followed by Divine Liturgy at 10:00 am in St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church with Fr. Stephen Wahal officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Mary Cemetery, Rostraver Twp.
