Janet S. Hall, 78, of Donora, passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at home, with her loving family by her side. She was born on June 21, 1945 in North Charleroi, the daughter of the late Steve and Eleanore (Hardon) Morgan. Janet graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh, leading to a distinguished career as a social worker with SPHS, where she served for many years. With the YWCA she developed a child care program long before it became widespread. Throughout her life, she received numerous awards recognizing her significant achievements. Her selflessness extended beyond her professional work, as she welcomed many foster children into her home and provided compassionate home care for the elderly. She lived a very accomplished selfless life and she will be deeply missed. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer (Jabar Brookins) Hall of Donora; Brother, Steve (Sharon) Morgan; granddaughter, Challe Martin; grandson, Zachary (Deandra) Hall; three great-granchildren, Marayla Martin, Rylan Dupree and Torin Martin. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Lorin Hall. A memorial gathering will be held Friday, May 24, 2024 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue, Monessen.
