James G. Nahas Jr.

James G. Nahas Jr., 88, of Carroll Township, passed away on Monday, January 2, 2023 at home. He was born on May 1, 1934 in Charleroi, the son of the late James and Victoria Nahas. He was a member of Epiphany of our Lord Church, The Charleroi-Monongahela Masons Lodge No. 337, and the YMCA. He was a 1952 Graduate of Charleroi High School and went on and graduated with his bachelors degree from California Teachers College. He was a retired teacher from Baldwin Whitehall High School where he ran the math department. He served his country and was a United States Army Veteran. Surviving are his loving wife of 63 years, Helen (Giovagnorio) Nahas, three daughters, Lori Nahas of Charleroi, Pamela (Ivan) Schrank of Monroeville, Cindy (Mark) Pellis of Bethel Park; sister, Lillian Nard of Cleveland; Six grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Nicholas Schrank; brother Richard Nahas; three sisters Selma Nahas, Jeanette Haddad, and Elaine Gnora. Friends will be received on Thursday, January 5th from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue, Monessen. Services will be held on Friday beginning with a blessing service at 11:30 am in the funeral home followed by a Mass at 12:00 pm at Epiphany of our Lord Church with Rev. Michael J. Crookston officiating. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery.  Memorial Contributions can be made to Epiphany of our Lord Church 44 Pennsylvania Blvd Monessen PA 15062.
