Irene J. Salizzoni, 95, of Monessen, died Thursday December 15, 2016 in Westmoreland Manor, Greensburg. She was born in Smithton on January 12, 1921, the daughter of the late Charles "Carlo" Salizzoni Sr. and Mary (Orlandi) Salizzoni. Irene was a lifelong resident of Monessen and a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church. She was retired from Corning Glass where she worked as a relief person on the production line. She is survived by a sister, Gloria Robinson of Fairfield, OH, two nieces, Carla M. Robinson of Los Angeles, CA, and Debbie (John) Babilya of West Newton, two nephews, William W. Robinson of Los Angeles, CA and Norman "Skip" (Peggy) Santori of New Kensington, and by four great nieces. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles E. Salizzoni Jr., John C. Salizzoni, and by a sister, Clara Santori. Friends will be received in Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue Monessen, on Sunday, December 18, 2016, from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm. Services will be held on Monday Dec. 19, 2016, beginning with a 9:30 am Blessing in the funeral home followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord Church, Monessen.
