Irene E. (Meluck) Mosco, 90, of Speers, died peacefully on Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at her home.She was born in Lowber on April 20, 1919, the daughter of the late Stephen and Anna Sabol Meluck. Mrs. Mosco resided in Monessen for many years before moving to Fallowfield Twp. in 1970, and spent the last 17 years living with her daughter and family. In her early years, she had worked at the former Pittsburgh Steel and A and P Supermarket in Monessen.She was a member of St. Sebastian R. C. Church and a former member of Epiphany of Our Lord and St. Cajetan R. C. Church.She is survived by her six children; Ralph Mosco and wife Peggy of Latrobe, Fred Mosco and wife Valerie of Farmington, Daniel Mosco of Charleroi, James Mosco and wife Holly of Charleroi, Annette Miceli and husband Salvatore of Speers, with whom she made her home, Raymond Mosco and wife Tracy of Charleroi, a brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Clara Meluck of Pittsburgh, two sisters, Verne Barker of Monessen and Gertrude Blasko of Charleroi, ten grandchildren, Brandon, Keenan, Annabel, Lucas, Hannah, Gina, Cory, and Laine Mosco, and Lia and Samuel Miceli, a brother-in-law Anthony Mosco and a sister-in-law Mary Ambrose, both of Monessen, and by numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Alfred "Fred" Mosco in 1987, seven sisters; Mary Fanala, Elizabeth Feehan, Anna Meluck, Julia Petey, Sophia Pavlik, Bertha Tyburski, and Margaret Meluck, and by two brothers; John and Stephen Meluck.Friends will be received on Wednesday from 7 to 9 pm, and on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue Monessen, (724-684-8750).Services will be held on Friday Oct. 9, 2009, beginning with a 12 noon Blessing in the funeral home, followed by a 12:30 pm Funeral Mass in St. Sebastian R. C. Church, Belle Vernon. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Monessen.
