Helen R. LaPresti, 99, of Monessen, died Friday, September 6, 2013 in Jefferson Hills Manor.
She was born in Roscoe on August 11, 1914, the daughter of the late Paul Sierakowski and Katherine Gerbas Sierakowski. She was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church and years ago worked at Corning Glass in Charleroi.
She is survived by her husband of 75 years, Joseph Alfred LaPresti, her son and daughter-in-law, Kent and Helen LaPresti of Monongahela, two grandsons, Mark (Lisa) LaPresti of Tampa, FL, Craig (Leann) LaPresti of Mt. Pleasant, three great grandchildren, Anthony, Tyler, and Allie LaPresti, and by nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Stephanie Zelenski, Anna Laskowski, Kathryn Faust, and Mary Kobak.
Friends will be received in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Ave. Monessen, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm.
Services will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013, beginning with a 9:30 am Blessing in the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord Church. Entombment will follow in Mon. Valley Memorial Park, Donora.
