Gloria M. (Mazzola) Sala

Gloria M. Sala, 91, of Monessen, died Thursday Feb. 27, 2020 in Jefferson Hills Manor. She was born on July 30, 1928 in Monongahela, the daughter of the late Joseph and Angela (DeLuca) Mazzola. Gloria grew up in Monongahela and was a 1946 graduate of Monongahela High School. She worked as an insurance agent for Chattaway Agency in Monongahela for 30 years. She was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Church where she served as an Eucharistic minister and as Sacristan. She was also a member of Epiphany Ladies, the Good Time Singers, and the "Showboat" Production. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Aldo "Doc" Sala, two brothers Alexander and Guido Mazzola, and a half brother and sister Theresa and Eldo Baldesari. Gloria was the last surviving member of her immediate family and is survived by nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Monday from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm in Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue, Monessen. Services will be held on Tuesday beginning with a 9:30 am Blessing in the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord Church. Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.  The Epiphany Ladies will conduct a prayer service on Monday at 6:30 pm in the funeral home.   Condolences accepted in Gloria Sala's memory at www.dalfonso-billick.com.
