Gloria G. (Forty) Guerra of Monessen, died Tuesday, February 7, 2012 in Havencrest Nursing Center.She was born in Monessen on October 24, 1924, the daughter of the late Nicholas and Mary Amoroso Forty. Gloria was a life long resident of Monessen and a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church. She was also a member of Italian-American Heritage Society, Monessen Investment Club, and a social member of the Italian Society of Mutual Aid. She enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casino's. Gloria worked at the former Monessen Shop and Save for 27 years in the meat department, and at Keystone Bakery for 22 years. She is survived by her son and daughter, Gary Q. Cope and Carla Runfola, both of Monessen, a sister, Eleanor (Kenneth) Clark of Belle Vernon, a step sister, Irene Bouchel of Ligonier, three grandchildren, Jan Runfola, Jill Brown, and Matthew Hlodan, beloved nieces and nephews, Kim, Lisa, Amy, and Kenneth Jr., and by several other nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Michael P. Guerra, three brothers, Nick, Rudy, and Philip Forty, and by a sister Margaret Cenkner.Friends will be received on Friday from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue Monessen, (724-684-8750).Services will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2012, beginning with a 11:30 am Blessing, followed by a 12 noon Funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church. Interment will follow in St. Hyacinth Cemetery, Monessen.The Knights of Columbus Council 954 will conduct a prayer service on Friday at 7:00 pm in the funeral home.
