Gertrude "Barni" Greco, 91, of Monessen, died unexpectedly on Sunday, April 26, 2015 in her home. She was born in Monessen on December 4, 1923, the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret Cornelia Ezzo. Mrs. Greco was a lifelong resident of Monessen and a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church where she enjoyed volunteering as a cook. She and her late husband Louis Greco were co-owners of Greco's General Store in Monessen for 42 years. She is survived by a daughter, Lois (David) Bodnar of Mt Lebanon, a granddaughter, Jill Bodnar of Seattle, WA, two sisters, Theresa DiPiazza and Grace Ezzo, both of Monessen, and by many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Louis R. Greco, a brother Joseph Ezzo, and by two sisters, Stella Reda and Laverne Fronzaglio. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Ave. Monessen. Services will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2015, beginning with a 9:30 am Blessing in the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord Church. Entombment will follow in Mon Valley Memorial Park Mausoleum, Donora.
