George M. Kichinko, 58, of Smithton, went to be with the Lord as an undefeated, victorious champion on Wednesday, July 2, 2008 in The Donnell House, Washington.He was born in N. Charleroi on April 13, 1950, the son of the late George and Mary Marchalk Kichinko. George was a graduate of Mon Valley Catholic High School and retired from World Kitchen in Charleroi. He was a member of The Christian Center Church in Rostraver Twp. and was a U. S. Navy veteran having served during the Vietnam War. George was an avid outdoorsman, having loved to fish. He enjoyed working out and keeping in shape. He was known as the "Gentle Giant", and was always there to lend a helping hand.He is survived by his wife of 14 years Paula Brandemarte Kichinko, his niece and nephews, Bernadette Bujanowski, Pearland, TX, Bruce Bujanowski and sons of Belle Vernon, Michael and Heather Sabo and children, Canton, OH, David Sabo of Moon Twp., Robert and Carol Sabo of Clairton, his mother-in-law, Loretta Brandemarte of Monessen, two sisters-in-law, Becky Lepley and husband Rich of Boswell, Mary Lynn Brown and husband James of Mt. Lebanon, nieces and nephews, Zachary, Brienne, Jessa, Roger, Nick and James, an Aunt, Anne Kushnir of Duquesne, a cousin Sister Elaine "Sis" Kicinko of Pittsburgh, and by many dear friends.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Barbara Bujanowski and Mary Carol Sabo.Friends will be received on Saturday from 7 to 9 pm, and on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services 441 Reed Avenue Monessen, (724-684-8750). Additional visitation will be held on Monday July 7th from 9 to 11:00 am at the Christian Center Church, 130 Charity Lane Rostraver Twp. Services will be held at 11:00 am in the church with Rev. John Derrico Jr., officiating. A memorial luncheon will follow in the fellowship hall.
