Frank A. Galilei, 67, of Monessen, died on Sunday April 26, 2020 at his home following a battle with cancer. He was born on October 16, 1952 in North Charleroi, the son of Frank J. Galilei who survives of Monessen and the late Margaret (Trenk) Galilei. Frank was a lifelong resident of Monessen, a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Church, and a 1970 graduate of Monessen High School. He received his bachelor's degree in Criminology from Youngstown State University. Frank was a detective for Westmoreland County District Attorneys Office. In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife of 43 years Cheryl (Desak) Galilei, two daughters, Gina and Christa Galilei of Monessen; son, Frank G. (Stephanie)Galilei of Monessen; three grandchildren, Madison, Frank J., and McKenzie Galilei; brother, Gary (Debra) Galilei of Pittsburgh; sister-in-law, Karen Galilei of Bethel Park; and by several nieces and nephews. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother Roger Galilei. Due to the pandemic, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
