Francis H. Post, 93, of Monessen, died Saturday, August 28, 2010 in Monessen. He was born in Franklin on December 2, 1916, the son of the late William F. and Lula (Coffy) Post. Mr. Post resided in Monessen since 1940, and was a member of American Legion Post 28. He was retired from Frank's Service Garage in Monessen, having worked as an auto body technician.He was a veteran of WWII, having served as a Sergeant with the U.S. Army, Hq Co. 2 Rangers Battalion in Rhineland, Normandy, and Northern France.He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Caroline Post, a daughter Patricia (Dennis) Vegso, two sons, Kevin (Toni) Post, and Timothy Post, all of Monessen, a sister, Georgia (Harry) Berry of Carolton, OH, a daughter-in-law, Helen (Bridge) Post of Charleroi, four grandchildren, Tom (Daniele) Post Jr. of Charleroi, Scott (Erin) Post, Kevin (Barbara) Post, and, Amy (Randy) Tabron, all of Monessen, seven great grandchildren, three sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Karol and Mary Mandarino, both of Monessen, and Veronica Mandarino of California, two brothers-in-law, Robert (Helen) Mandarino of Monessen, Raymond (Dolores) Mandarino of Las Vegas, NV, and by numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter Carol Lynn Post, a son Francis Thomas Post, brother and sister-in-law Arthur and Geraldine Post, sister and brother-in-law Grace and Russell Seal, and by three brothers-in-law, Ralph and Richard Mandarino, and Leo Karol.Friends will be received on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue Monessen, (724-684-8750).Services will be held on Tuesday, August 31, 2010, at 10:00 am in the funeral home with Fr. David J. Nazimek, officiating.
