The dear Lord called Fiorino Ruffolo, 79, of Monessen, home on Tuesday, December 2, 2008.An avid gardener and proud brick layer, Fiorino was born in Marano Principato, Italy on May 7, 1929, the son of the late Eugenio and Rosaria Caruso Ruffolo.He was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord R. C. Church, a life time member of the Italian Society of Mutual Aid, Italian American Heritage Society, and member of the Sons of Italy. He was retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Corporations Monessen Plant, having worked as a mason.Fiorino is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Amelia Picardi Ruffolo, four children Nancy (Rick) Shuster, Frank Ruffolo, Anna Marie (Terry) Dzimiera, and Joseph Ruffolo, six grandchildren, Lisa, Mary, Nathan, Rachel, Francesca, JoJo, and one great granddaughter, Gianna-Bella. He is also survived by five siblings, Emilio (Rita) Ruffolo, Marianno Ruffolo of Kenosha, WI, Augustino (Carmelina) Ruffolo of Cosenza, Italy, Rita (Frank) Bilotto, Gemma (Frank) Naccarato, of Chicago, IL, and by numerous nieces and nephews.Friends will be received onWednesday from 7 to 9 and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue Monessen, (724-684-8750).Services will be held on Friday, December 5, 2008, beginning with a 9:30 am Blessing in the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord R.
