Eleanore B. Snyder, 83, of Valencia, formerly of Monessen, died Monday, January 3, 2011 in UPMC Passavant Hospital.She was born in Monessen on January 25, 1927, the daughter of the late John and Josephine (Suchta) Bialousz. Eleanor was a 1945 graduate of Monessen High School and a member of the Mon Valley Sweet Adeline's Chorus. She was a member of the Epiphany of Our Lord R. C. Church and the former St. Leonard's R. C. Church, having been a member of the choir at both churches. She was an avid seamstress and loved to cook for her loving family.She is survived by her husband of 60 years, John A. "Jack" Snyder, four children, Tim Snyder of New York, NY, Gwen Karr and husband John of Gibsonia, Kathy Snyder and a special friend Deb Martello of Chicago, IL, Keith J. Snyder of Valencia, four grandchildren, Lydia and Courtney Snyder, and Kaitlyn and John Karr Jr., two brothers, Edward J. Bialousz of Washington, Robert T. Bialousz of Elmira, NY, her Goddaughter and niece, Joeine Osiol and husband Jerry of Manassas, VA, and by nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Helen Wojnar.Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue Monessen, (724-684-8750).Services will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2011, beginning with a 9:30 am Blessing in the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord R.
