Elaine Johnson (DeLuca) Torruiso, 78, of Belle Vernon, formerly of Monessen, died Thursday, September 6, 2007 in U.P.M.C. Montefiore.She was born in Monessen on December 15, 1928, the daughter of the late Irvin and Tresa Touche Johnson. Mrs. Torruiso was a 1946 graduate of Monessen High School and had worked as a comestician at the former Thrift Drug in Belle Vernon. She was a loving mother and grandmother having enjoyed being with her family, her friends, and her dog Missy. She was an avid bingo fan, supporting the volunteer fire department bingo's throughout the Mon Valley.She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John T. and Donna DeLuca of Monessen, her daughter Kim DeLuca and friend Dennis Hanies of Belle Vernon, a sister and brother-in-law Judith and Robert Barnot of Rostraver Twp., two grandchildren, Katy and Michael DeLuca, and by several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two husbands, John S. DeLuca and Andrew Torruiso.Friends will be received on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m., and on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home, Inc. 441 Reed Avenue Monessen, (724-684-8750).Services will be held on Monday September 10, 2007, (time to be announced) in the funeral home with Rev. Conrad Auel presiding. Interment will follow in Mon. Valley Memorial Park, Donora.
