Edith Bruni Spadafore, 90, formerly of Monessen, died Tuesday, July 8, 2008 in Westbury United Methodist Community, Meadville.She was born in Morgantown, WV on March 5, 1918, the daughter of the late Angelo and Angela Ziccarelli Bruni. Mrs. Spadafore grew up in Point Marion, graduating from Point Marion High School. She attended the Mason Frederick Beauty School in Pittsburgh for cosmetology, and moved to Monessen when she married her late husband, Emil M. Spadafore, Sr. She was a resident of Monessen all her married life, and continued to live in the community until four years ago. She was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord R. C. Church and the former St. Cajetan Christian Mothers. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Vinceanne and Joseph Casale of Scottsdale, AZ, two sons and daughters-in-law, Attorney Emil M. Spadafore, Jr. and wife Kathy of Meadville, Robert P. Spadafore and wife Jamie of Youngwood, seven grandchildren, Erinn Casale Michalek and husband Douglas of New York, NY, Elizabeth L. Spadafore of Pittsburgh, Rebecca E. Spadafore of Rochester, NY, Rachel V. Spadafore of Cleveland, OH, Joseph C. Spadafore of Meadville, Robert A. and Sarah R. Spadafore of Youngwood, and two great-grandchildren, Alexandra and Douglas Michalek. Mrs. Spadafore is also survived by a sister, Elvere Provenzo of New Kensington, and by numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Fred, Homer, Albert, Armand, and Arthur Bruni, and three sisters, Elvere Bruni, Susan Bruni, and Sophie Franks.Friends will be received on Thursday, July 10 from 7 to 9 pm, and Friday, July 11 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. at Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue Monessen, (724-684-8750).Services will be held on Saturday July 12, 2008, beginning with a 9:30 am Blessing at the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass at Epiphany of Our Lord R.
